I am sure there is a GREAT party / reunion going on in heaven right now!
I know I will see you again in heaven, Aunt Mary, still we feel the pain and loss to see your recent struggle and to see you go today. Your life has been such a great example and inspiration for how to fully and WELL LIVE your life. We will never forget this about you and we will cherish the great life lessons you have taught us all.
Mary--I am happy for you that your pain has ended. You will always be an amazing matriarch and anchor of the family, even in death. I have the Counsins Chronicles in a binder on my book shelf, and what a living legacy and inspiration all that year-after-year writing and family documenation is! Your testimony to the strength of loving connection is phenomenal. What a treasure those pages are and what a treasure is their author!
Now you are gone, but I believe you will still be with us, because even though we can't see you, we will be reminded of your joyful, positive spirit every moment we challenge our own problems with prayer, hope, gratitude, joy, laughter and love; and choose to be connected and close to those we love and who love us--despite resistance and difficulties.
Bless you Mary, and thank you for the love you gave to so many, for so many, many years. Thank you for loving me --I will treasure our phone conversations always -- you shed much light on dark days and your kindness and understanding was taken into my heart. My heart is lighter because of your laughter and perspective. Thank you for this-- and especially for our last visit in Madison. You are a GEM, a pearl, a treasure. Rest well.
