The sun was out, but now an overcast has blanketed the sky but it doesn't look like we will get any rain. Yesterday ended with a beautiful sunset and the moon was a brilliant orange that cast a ray of light over the water as we went to bed.
Janet came up to the cabin for dinner, and we played cards and although I lost at Hearts, I got to have Gary as my partner in Spades, and we pulled off a win (after a long fight) over Kathleen and Janet. Gary made this wonderful beef pot pie for dinner and I can't wait to have leftovers for lunch today.
Today we will pack up and head for home, as I get plugged in what I am hoping is my last chemo treatment, but this is the third time I've said that....and I've always been tricked by the oncologist into having just one more!! However, I do have my appointment with Mayo on August 3, so we I think it is my last....but I'm not making any promises....like the doctor who keeps changing his mind.
Kathleen will accompany me tomorrow, and then later in the afternoon, I will take the two of them to the airport, where they will board a plane for Iceland and a two-week adventure with a group of 16, but only one they know. They will return to Salt Lake after that, and then will be back here the middle of August, and will be picking up their camping van and off to another adventure the end of the month.
I am generally filling well, strong and positive my cancer is gone or in remission, so I know your prayers are working and I look forward to being done with all this doctoring stuff soon. Thank you so much for sticking with me....love and prayers, m
P.S. Hope you liked the pictures of the addition....will send more as work progresses....yesterday was just things like the plumbers inspection which passes, and he fixed some leaky faucets. m
