I was expecting Annie and Nicole to come around 10 a.m. this morning, so I was up and at um right away. By 9:30 a.m. I was dressed and started getting things organized for Annie and Nicole to come and help me wrap all the Christmas presents that I have been shopping for the last month. They didn't get here till about 10:30, but they got right to work and worked like busy beavers wrapping over 50 packages....I helped a little, but not with anything that needed paper wrapping. I did some bags, and chow mien like containers and stuff like that. Anyway by the time they had to leave for Matthew's 1 p.m. hockey game there were only a few things, less then 5 to do, and all of them needed something before they could be wrapped. So I'm feeling really organized right now.
I still have Christmas cards to do, but am waiting till after Thursday's meeting with my oncologist, which is the day after my CT scan. I want to give everyone the most up to date information. So don't expect your cards and notes till maybe after Christmas. I may have them already to go, and just have to add the latest info and pop them in the mail....I've got stamps etc. already, and even put some of the return address labels on a bunch today.
After Ann and Nicole left, I went to work trying to organize the back bedroom, so Tom and Karen might have a spot to sleep when then come next week, I'm guessing the kids will end up at Annies. I putzed around all afternoon while watching the Vikings. They actually showed up for the game today too! My fantasy football days are over for the season. The top half of the field were in the play offs starting today. My team didn't make it. I did start winning at the end of the season, but not enough to make it to the play-offs. Oh Well!! There is always next year.
Later in the afternoon I got a call from cousin Karen in Switzerland, we must have talked for a half hour or more. I enjoy visiting with her so much, and I got to tell her that Judy and I may be there in May to visit. Judy has invited me along with her sister-in-law to Holland, and then Judy and I would take a train down to Karen's for a visit. I think she is even more excited about it than me....and I'm really excited about the opportunity to go back to Europe and seeing Karen and Reudi again.
Worked on more scarves this evening, Jan has asked me to make six for her, and I've two down and four to go. Put some more tinsel on the tree that I started last night, but have a long way to go on it.
Nothing else to report, will work on tinsel and my Christmas note tomorrow, and then on Tuesday morning I have a dentist appointment to have my teeth cleaned, Wed. my CTscan, and Th, the oncologist appointment and I might not have anything on Friday, but Saturday night another Holiday party to go to. So it all begins!! Love and Prayers, m
