What's up with that. First Monday in Dec. and it's in the 50's but no sun to go along with it. I need some sun!
Yesterday was a good day. Bonnie and I went shopping early in the afternoon, and I didn't have to watch the Viking's defeat! Especially when it was Green Bay and Jack and Gary would be cheering them on! Nice day for Jack's birthday I guess!
I love to shop....and it always cheers me up. Actually first we went to JCPenney, and I bought only stuff for me....a new outfit to wear in Hawaii when I go in January. With all the holiday celebrations, I really need to start packing now or I won't be ready on the 10th when I fly out. So excited already.
We then went to Walgreen's and I was able to buy a lot of things I needed at great discounts with their Balance Rewards card. I'm into bargains as well as shopping...so came home with a load of stuff and a smile on my face.
Shortly after I got home Annie, Nicole and Allie came in and did a quick but great job of de-halloweening, vacuuming and dusting of the house. Doug had exchanged and put together a new vacuum for me, and so they brought that over so the living room could finally be vacuumed. Annie even brought up and folded a load of towels, that had been in the dryer since Friday night. It was a whirlwind of help and love. I really appreciated it. They had little time, as Allie had to go to Confirmation class at 6 p.m. and they needed to get home and have dinner in-between.
Did some more crocheting last night, and am almost completely out of yarn. Think I'm done when the yarn is gone. It does give me something to do while watching TV. My other project is almost done too! But always come up with one or two things short and have to go back to Costco. I thought I was done with that yesterday, but still have to get a couple more things. Darn!!!
Tonight I am going to the Chris and Dale concert with Bonnie, and it's at Christ Lutheran Church....not Cross of Christ. Then tomorrow Bonnie and I are going to shop again. She want's to go to Kohls on Senior discount day, and I have a few things to buy for the tag I took off the Christmas tree at church last Saturday. I did get one yesterday at Walgreen's, but they didn't have anything for the other tag. I took two!! So I'm sure Kohl's will have what she wants.
Even though our family is not exchanging gifts till after Christmas, I have a lot that have to go out before. Like Kathleen and Gary's that I hope will go out by the end of the week. I'm waiting for some things that I ordered online to be delivered. But with any luck they will get it before Christmas.
I got an email from my Cousin June, announcing the birth of her nephew (Jackie's son) Matt's baby son, last night. But sadly the baby was whisked off to ICU before Jackie could even see the baby, and the mom is having liver problems and isn't doing well either. The baby is premature so that is a problem too! They are having a shower for the little one on Saturday, and hope all will be doing well by then. Please say some awesome prayers for both mom and the baby....dad and grandma too! Love and Prayers, m
