Better Late Than Never

I had lots of problems getting into the blog from Sandi's computer....and they don't have wifi so couldn't use mine.  But I just tried one last time....and all of a sudden it worked.

We drove down from Lexington to Athens via the Great Smokey Mountain National Park....after checking at the visitors center to check and see if the road was open.  We started at Gatinburg 50 degrees and by the time we got to the top it was down to 36, snow covered, and all the water running out of the rocks were huge ice cycles.  So I took pictures, but I can't get at them until I can get back on my own computer.
We also took a hike to Tullulah Gorge and that was very invigorating....we were out of breath by the time we hiked back to the car.

Joe had dinner ready when we arrived at their home in Athens, GA.  We sat and talked with them till near midnite and did the same again this morning around the breakfast table.  Going to take a tour of downtown Athens now....Bonnie and Fred lived here one year while Fred was in Graduate School, so we'll see if anything at all looks the same.

Tomorow we will go on to Destin....so Zimmer's better get ready.  I hear that Bucky isn't doing to well....so say a few more prayers for him....as for my butt...I am doing pretty good....able to take my turn and drive when I need too.  But the third day in a row was hard....will be glad to not have to drive today!  Love and prayers, m
