We've already reached the full Winter average of 50 inches, and it's only Jan. 14. They are talking about another 3 inches by tomorrow morning. That wouldn't be so bad, but they are already telling us about more snow on Monday. I need to be back at Mayo on Tuesday, so hope the roads are clear by then....I can't worry about that....there is nothing I can do about it anyway.
Yesterday I made my quarterly trip to the dentist to have my teeth cleaned. Funny I originally thought my appointment was on Tuesday.....in my mind.....then I called and checked and it was on Wednesday....then Mayo moved me back to Wednesday from Friday....so I had to call and change to Thursday,. So it's amazing I made both my appointment to Mayo on Wednesday and my dentist appointment yesterday. After that I did some shopping for my trip. Had a 30% off coupon for Kohls, and needed some new underwear and socks for the trip....and I think I did really well. My sales slip says I saved $187. I get a kick out of how they print that on the bottom of your receipt to make you feel so much better for spending your money.....plus they gave me a $10 Bucks Back coupon if I go shopping again. So I really did feel good about all my purchases. Then I hit Costco and got my year supply of vitamins (also on sale) and a few other needs for the trip....filled with gas, and came home!
The biggest hit of the day was talking to Aunt Loretta (mom). She always makes me smile. I smile everytime I look at the flowers (orchids) she sent too. Loretta is doing well, and even was out shopping one day herself. But complained about having to walk all the way across the Mall to get all she was shopping for...but she was proud that she made it!!!
Today I need to finish my laundry that I've sorta been working on all week.....not very hard....and I only have one more load to do. I still have to put away all that I folded yesterday and is still in piles on my couch. Some of it will go to the spare bedroom to be packed for the trip along with the new socks and underwear I bought yesterday.
Tonight I still haven't decided if I'll go to both dinner and the play with the Women's Club......or if I'll just do one.....I'll wait and see how my butt feels. Right now it feels pretty good, and I slept very well last night too. So we'll see what the day brings! Love and prayers, m
