This is what we've been talkin bout!!! High today will be in the low 70's and again tomorrow. I wanted to sit outside and do my blog....but couldn't see the screen....so Bonnie is sitting outside this Starbucks drinking her coffee while I'm in here writing my blog. So gorgeous!!!
It was a long day of driving yesterday.....but we survived!! Only to be rewarded by this wonderful weather. We left Jim and Linda's in Destin at about 10 a.m. and then headed to Panama City Beach to Doraine Newlands condo that they are renting for 2 months. Bonnie and I worked with Doraine at the college back in the early 80's. She made us lunch and we had a good visit, and then headed for Winter Garden (Orlando suburb)....unfortunately we lost an hour with the time change, so we didn't get here till 8:15 last nite. I tried getting online to blog at the timeshare we are staying in.....but they wanted $8 a day to use the internet....so I declined that.
This morning we are moving slow, but did finally head out to Publix to get some groceries for dinner today and tomorrow, and then found this Starbucks so I could get online free. Probably either won't blog tomorrow or Monday mornings, unless we come back here for coffee and free internet use.
We plan on doing laundry in our place this afternoon, and then checking out the grounds. They have paddleboats and miniature golf that we may try out. No big plans....just know we are not going to Disney or other big buck attractions this trip.
My butt is holding out well, and Ann is reporting that her dad is doing well in the hospital....loves being taken care of by the nurses and the added attraction of morphine. Keep the prayers coming for him....and I guess you can think of my butt every now and then too! Love and prayers,
